What are your teaching philosophies?
Each of our teachers completes rigorous training through Swim Schools International (SSI) to receive their swim teaching certifications. They complete online materials, classroom training, in-water training, and an apprenticeship in which they work with already certified teachers and current students.
We focus on establishing trust, water safety, and building strong foundational swim skills and strokes. SSI’s curriculum is highly structured and promotes quality and consistency in our teaching.
All instructors teach the same swim skills for each level and will give appropriately challenging progressions to each individual student. Though we teach the same curriculum, every teacher is encouraged to bring their own personality and creativity to your swimmer’s lesson to make for a fun and engaging class!
When can I start?
Savvy Swimmers offers a flexible rolling enrollment model all year round. You can start anytime, as long as there is availability. Savvy Swimmers requires a 30 day written notice to drop your student from lessons.
How does rolling enrollment work?
Rolling enrollment allows students to progress at their own pace, instead of a set, session based timeline. Once your swimmer is enrolled, they remain enrolled until they age out, move up, or transfer/ drop their enrollment.
Savvy Swimmers requires a 30 day notice of withdrawal from their last class date in writing.
When do you bill my account?
Savvy Swimmers will charge tuition to your card on file on the first of each month.
Do you have a registration fee?
Yes. Savvy Swimmers charges a $55.00 registration fee.
How do I know what level to book my student into?
You can find all of our level descriptions, including prerequisites and final goals for each level HERE!
Do you offer discounts?
Yes! You can get 15% off by pre-paying for 6 months in advance!
Do you offer a referral benefit?
YES! Families can earn 10% off one month of lessons per referral. The family being referred must let us know who referred them for both families to be eligible for the 10% off.
Can I pause my enrollment?
Yes and No. You can end your enrollment anytime by providing a 30 day notice and re-enroll at any time, but we cannot reserve or hold your spot during your “pause” without payment.
How do I cancel my enrollment?
Savvy Swimmers requires a 30 day notice of withdrawal in writing. Email is sufficient.
Do you offer private lessons?
Private lessons can be accommodated based on staff availability and are priced at $325.00 per month.
Do you offer lessons for students with disabilities?
Yes! The SSI curriculum is designed to teach each student where they are at and challenge them appropriately. If reasonable accommodations are needed, please reach out to madsion@savvyswimmers.com to discuss accommodation options.
Do you offer Adult Swim lessons?
Yes! We offer a beginner adult swim class on Fridays from 2:00pm-3:00pm.
Do I need to be in the pool with my swimmer?
Students enrolled in Baby and Me are required to have a guardian in the water to participate in class. All other classes (ages 3+) do not require a parent in the water.
Can I drop off my student for their lesson?
A responsible guardian (18+) must remain on the premises for the entire lesson. Drop offs are not permitted.
Why is my student sitting on the side of the pool?
If a swimmer is still learning to swim independently, it is not safe for us to let all students be in the water at once. While sitting on a turtle, students can watch their classmates, do dryland practice, and will continue to engage in learning and having fun.
What if my student will be absent from their scheduled class time?
Savvy Swimmers requires advance notice of all absences. After letting us know your student will be absent, and their scheduled class has ended, a makeup token will be issued to your account for you to schedule a lesson in another class time with adequate availability and appropriate level of instruction within 90 days of its issue date.
What are makeup tokens?
Makeup tokens are vouchers issued for the purpose of making up a missed class and are intended to be used only during active enrollment. They typically expire after 90 days.
Savvy Swimmers issues makeup tokens when parents let us know their students will not be in attendance, or if lessons are cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances (inclement weather, pool contamination, etc.)
What is the difference between lessons and clinics?
Our weekly lessons are 30 minutes per week, offering consistency and weekly exercise for ages 2 months and up.
Our week-long clinics are 50 minutes per day Monday-Friday, offering targeted practice for swimmers who need to refresh skills, or just that last push to move up to the next level. Clinics are offered for ages 3-16.
What is Family Swim? How do I sign up?
Family Swim is a time set aside exclusively for our enrolled swimmers and their families to have fun in the pool and get in some extra practice. Family swim is held every Friday evening from 6:15pm-7:15pm.
Every enrolled swimmer can attend for free along with one guardian. Each additional family member (up to 6 total) is $10.00 per swimmer. Sign up HERE!
Do you offer Adult fitness classes?
Aqua Zumba classes are offered three times a week.
Mondays and Wednesdays @ 7:15 PM & Fridays @ 8:00 AM. Price is per class.
$12/class or you can pay ahead for 10 classes at $100.
